Walls, floor, shower tray β one seamless surface. Topciment certified. Waterproof for 20+ years. Applied by our own team in Porto and North Portugal.
Why microcement in a bathroom?
In a bathroom, tile grout is where everything goes wrong β mould grows in it, it discolours over time, no cleaning product really shifts it. Microcement replaces all of that with a single continuous surface that has no joints, no grout and nowhere for bacteria to hide.
Applied correctly β and correct application is everything β microcement in a bathroom is 100% waterproof, steam-resistant and long-lasting. It's warmer to the touch than tile, can go on floors without underfloor heating, and looks genuinely exceptional.
We use Topciment product exclusively. We are certified applicators. The certification matters because the wrong product or application leads to cracking β the most common microcement failure we're asked to fix after DIY attempts.
The most impactful application. A microcement shower β walls and floor β creates a seamless enclosure with no grout to maintain. The difference is immediately visible.
Full-height wall application from floor to ceiling, including behind the WC and around the vanity. A continuous surface that makes the room feel larger and cleaner.
Anti-slip finish available for bathroom floors. Warm underfoot, compatible with underfloor heating, and visually seamless with the wall finish.
Microcement over the vanity top, window sill and shelf creates a fully unified look. Available in the same tone as the walls or in a contrasting finish.
FAQ
Not when applied correctly. Cracking occurs when the base surface isn't properly prepared, when the product is applied too thickly, or when an incorrect product is used. We use Topciment and follow the manufacturer's application protocol exactly β that's why we offer a 2-year guarantee on the work.
Usually yes, if the tiles are firmly bonded, flat and free of hollow sections. We always assess the existing surface before committing. If the base isn't suitable, we'll tell you before we start.
A standard bathroom (walls and floor) takes 3 to 4 days, including drying time between coats and the final sealing. During this time the bathroom is out of use.
No. Day-to-day cleaning is straightforward β pH-neutral soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. We recommend a sealer refresh every 3β5 years, which takes less than an hour and maintains the water resistance.
