A 1990s closed kitchen that finally opened up — to light, to the dining room, and to life.
A closed 1990s kitchen in Vila Nova de Gaia — dark, cramped, and cut off from the rest of the flat. The client's vision was simple: tear down the wall between the kitchen and the dining room, flood the space with light, and build something they'd actually want to cook in. We removed a non-load-bearing wall, installed a bespoke quartzite-topped island and fitted kitchen, and integrated all the appliances. The job was done in 14 days, with the family living upstairs the whole time.
"The kitchen used to be the room I avoided most. Now it's the heart of the home. The work was fast, the team left everything spotless every evening, and the result exceeded everything I had imagined."— Margarida T., Vila Nova de Gaia
